Luke Arnott – Art & Graphic Design

In his younger days, Luke was very active in visual arts. He self-published his first comics at age ten, and continued doing so through high school. If you were buying comics at the local indie rack at Silver Snail, you may have picked up a copy!

Luke keeps his hand in with the occasional oil painting or freelance graphic design gig. Here are some semi-representative samples (Copyright Luke Arnott):
Picture
"Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra": Obamania meets Star Trek: The Next Generation. Yes, we can make it so!

Poster concept for UWO Grad conference. Pretty self-explanatory.
Picture
"Ms. Claus on Mars": Christmas E-Card. Savvy viewers will note that the pose is modified from the iconic Raquel Welch/One Million Years BC poster.

Another Holiday E-Card, sent to Comparative Literature students.

Cover for unfinished superhero satire comic book.
Picture
"Gulf Wars: Episode II: Attack of the Clod." More (at the time) topical satire, done in the fall of 2002 after Attack of the Clones came out, and it was getting obvious that Bush was going to invade Iraq no matter what. This cartoon originally appeared in McGill's Red Herring newspaper.
